Dit is geen soldeer. Het is fijne geëmailleerde koperdraad, soms magnetdraad genoemd, en vervult twee taken op een elektronica‑werkbank: het repareren van gebroken PCB‑sporen en het wikkelen van eigen spoelen en inductoren.

De emailisolatie verbrandt bij soldeertemperatuur, zodat je het direct van de rol kunt solderen zonder iets te strippen. Met 0,1 mm is het dun genoeg om een losgekomen pad te overbruggen of langs een bord te lopen zonder in de weg te zitten.

Waar mensen het voor gebruiken

• Repareren van gebroken PCB‑sporen. De klassieke toepassing. Een onderbroken of gecorrodeerde spoor overbruggen; de draad is dun genoeg om vlak onder een component te liggen.
• Reparatie van telefoons en kleine printplaten. Jumperen tussen pads waar een spoor is losgeraakt, veelvoorkomend bij waterbeschadigde borden.
• Spoelen en inductoren wikkelen. Aangepaste inductoren, kleine transformatoren, RFID‑ en inductiespoelen.
• Prototype‑jumpers. Waar een normale jumperdraad simpelweg te omvangrijk is.

Werken ermee

• Geen strippen. Soldeer het uiteinde bij normale soldeertemperatuur en de email verbrandt vanzelf. Rond de 320 °C werkt goed.
• Soldeer voordat je het plaatst. Veel makkelijker dan proberen het in positie te solderen op een drukke kaart.
• Het is fijne draad, behandel het voorzichtig. Bij 0,1 mm breekt het als je eraan trekt. Bevestig beide uiteinden goed.
• De email is de isolatie. Zodra het verbrand is, is het blote koper, dus houd de gesoldeerde lengte kort als het dicht bij andere sporen loopt.
